About the NYWC Training Academy
Long Island's oldest and most successful professional wrestling school , NYWC has been training young talent since 2001. NYWC has produced many dynamic wrestlers, including several that have been featured on WWE, AEW, Impact, & NJPW.
Our trainers Dickie Rodz, Michael Mistretta, and Randy Summers are eager to share their knowledge with you!
Dickie brings over two decades of experience to NYWC. As our first ever student, Dickie has worked with numerous wrestling legends on his journey through not only NYWC, but many other notable companies as well. Dickie brings critical knowledge of both the past and present of wrestling. Dickie is the primary trainer on Sundays.
Michael has a decade of experience. he is regularly active on the independent wrestling scene as he competes on shows or attends seminars almost every weekend. Michael has wrestled outside of the country for multiple promotions including wXw. His intense and technical in ring style helps bring an unique approach to his classes. He has a great understanding of the current independent scene and has wrestled for companies such as ROH, MLW, & Evolve. Michael is the primary trainer on Thursdays.
Randy has over 10 years of experience. He has wrestled for many of the top independent promotions in the United States such as CZW, Evolve Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling, & more. Randy has also competed in multiple matches on AEW Dark. Randy is known for his work in the tag team Milk Chocolate (alongside Brandon Watts), who holds NYWC’s record for most tag team championship reigns & CZW’s record for longest tag team championship reign. Randy brings an incredible understanding of in-ring psychology and how to engage an audience through storytelling. Randy is the primary trainer on Tuesdays.
Some of our graduates include Zack Ryder/Matt Cardona, Curt Hawkins/Brian Myers, Trent Baretta, Mike Mondo, Tony Nese, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Willow Nightingale, & Alex Coughlin. Our most recent success story is The Slimeballz, who after starting with us in 2021 have already signed a contract with NWA! Many of these individuals visit our academy as special guest trainers!

Tuition is $200 per month.
Training takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm-10pm and Sundays (time varies). Once a student becomes advanced they are eligible to train during off hours.
